Hyderabad: An accident on the sets of actor Nikhil Siddhartha’s upcoming film The India House near Shamshabad, Hyderabad, caused injuries to several crew members, including an assistant cameraman, and led to a temporary halt of filming.

According to sources, a large water tank installed on location for shooting ocean scenes unexpectedly burst during the shoot. The sudden release of water flooded the entire set, creating hazardous conditions for the film crew. The assistant cameraman sustained injuries serious enough to require immediate hospitalization at a private hospital in Hyderabad. Several other crew members reported minor injuries but did not require extensive medical treatment.

The incident occurred while the team was filming a major sequence involving large quantities of water. A video from the location, which has been circulating on social media, shows the film crew trying to protect expensive cameras and equipment as water rapidly spread across the shooting area. The flooding caused chaos on set and forced an immediate halt to the shoot.

The India House is a period drama set in pre-independence London. The film revolves around a love story that unfolds amid the political unrest associated with the historic India House. The film is directed by Ram Vamsi Krishna, with the script penned by Ram Vamsi Krishna and Varma K Siddharth. The cast features veteran actor Anupam Kher alongside Nikhil Siddhartha and Kyle Paul. Actor Ram Charan is producing the film.

The production team has not released an official statement regarding the incident so far. Nikhil Siddhartha is a noted actor in Telugu cinema. He first gained prominence with his role in Happy Days (2007) and has since appeared in successful films such as Swamy Ra Ra (2013), Karthikeya (2014), Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada (2016), and Karthikeya 2 (2022).
