Caught in Tolichowki; found associating with drug traffickers

Authorities picked him up near Tolichowki police station limits based on specific intelligence. During questioning, he failed to produce a passport or visa and could not explain his stay in the country. Police clarified that they did not recover any narcotic substances from his possession at the time of apprehension.

His identity and records were verified with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO), Hyderabad, and the Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement Wing (H-NEW). Following this, the Nigerian Embassy secured an emergency travel certificate to facilitate his deportation.

Officials said his continued presence in India posed a high risk of involvement in drug trafficking. The deportation proceedings were carried out under the supervision of Inspector U. Chandra Shekar of the East Zone Task Force and executed by sub-inspectors S. Karunakar Reddy, M. Anantha Chary, and P. Nagaraju, in coordination with the FRRO and H-NEW.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Ande Srinivasa Rao said the action was taken to prevent him from engaging in activities detrimental to national security.
