Double murder in Neredmet, Son kills parents

Hyderabad: A couple was killed by their son in their home in Sai Nagar Colony, Neredmet police station limits of Rachakonda commissionerate on Sunday. As per reports, their son recently underwent treatment for a mental health condition. Neredmet police are investigating the case.

The victims have been identified as B Lakshmi, 55, and Rajaiah, 60. The suspect, their 35-year-old son Srinivas, is currently in police custody.

Recent mental health treatment noted

According to Neredmet police, Srinivas had not been in a good mental condition for several days.  “Srinivas, aged 35 years old, has not been in a good mental condition for the past several days. He was brought back from Erragadda Hospital after receiving treatment a month ago," said Neredmet police.

Police secured the scene, investigation ongoing

Following an alert about the murder, Neredmet police rushed to the scene and have taken Srinivas into custody. The motive behind the attack is currently under investigation. Police are likely examining the suspect's recent medical history and the circumstances that led to the violent incident.

The area was cordoned off and a clues team was called to collect evidence. Srinivas was taken into custody at the scene. Further details are awaited as the police continue their investigation into the circumstances leading to the double murder.
