Hyderabad: In light of the upcoming Eid ul-Fitr celebrations on Monday, March 31, Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad, has announced that it will remain open to the public.
According to a statement issued by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) and Chief Wildlife Warden of Telangana, the zoo will be open from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM on March 31, 2025. Visitors are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to explore the zoo and its diverse wildlife.
Nehru Zoological Park is home to 2,240 animals, including 664 mammals across 55 species, 1,227 birds of 97 species, 341 reptiles from 38 species, and 8 amphibians of 2 species. The zoo’s natural landscape attracts both resident and migratory birds, making it a popular destination for wildlife enthusiasts.
Additionally, the zoo offers an animal adoption program, allowing individuals and organizations to sponsor animals for a specific period. The proceeds from this initiative contribute to the maintenance of enclosures and support global wildlife conservation efforts.
