In anticipation of the high footfall, zoo management made extensive preparations. Additional booking counters, battery-operated vehicles, drinking water units, and increased deployment of security personnel were arranged to manage the crowd and ensure a smooth experience. Despite the rush, wait times remained minimal due to these timely arrangements.

Dr. Sunil S. Hiremath, IFS, Director of Zoo Parks, Telangana, along with the staff, expressed gratitude to the public for making the zoo a preferred destination.

Nehru Zoological Park is home to over 194 species and approximately 2,300 individual animals. It was the first zoo in India to exhibit animals in zoological order in open enclosures designed to mimic natural habitats. Most animals are housed in open moats or cages, providing visitors a closer view while ensuring the comfort of the animals.

To engage visitors and raise awareness about wildlife conservation, special animal talk shows and reptile awareness sessions were organized throughout the day. These programs highlighted the importance of protecting wildlife and preserving natural habitats. The zoo also used the occasion to promote the World Environment Day theme, "End Plastic Pollution," by encouraging visitors to help keep the zoo premises plastic-free.
