Cyberabad Police ban gatherings near NEET UG-2025 centres on May 4
Hyderabad: In a bid to maintain public order and ensure smooth conduct of the NEET UG-2025 examination, Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty, IPS, has issued prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).
As per the order, gatherings of five or more persons will be prohibited within a 200-meter radius of all NEET UG-2025 examination centres falling under Cyberabad Police Commissionerate limits. The restrictions will be in effect on May 4, 2025, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
In addition, all photocopying (Xerox) and internet centres located within a 100-meter radius of the exam centres must remain closed during the same period.
Exemptions have been granted to police personnel on duty, military and home guard personnel on duty, members of the Education Department’s flying squads, and funeral processions.
The police have warned that any violation of the order will invite legal action under relevant provisions of law. The NEET UG-2025 examination is scheduled to be conducted across various centres on May 4.
