Narsingi double murder: Trio held for killing couple in Puppalguda
Hyderabad: Three individuals have been arrested in connection with a double murder case under the Narsingi Police Station limits. The murders occurred on the night of January 11, 2024, at an abandoned stone crusher site in Puppalguda.
According to Rajendranagar DCP Ch Srinivas, the two victims have been identified as Ankit Saket, a 25-year-old housekeeper from Nanakramguda and originally from Madhya Pradesh, and Bindu, also 25, a resident of LB Nagar and a native of Chhattisgarh. Both victims were killed by blunt force to the head with a boulder.
Ankit had brought Bindu to Nanakramguda on January 8, 2024, where they stayed at a friend’s house.
The arrested suspects are Rahul Kumar Saket (26), a driver from Sidhi District, Madhya Pradesh; Raj Kumar Saket (22), an office boy from Sidhi District, Madhya Pradesh; Sukhendra Kumar Saket (30), a housekeeper from Sidhi District, Madhya Pradesh.
The murders stemmed from a personal conflict. Bindu, who had recently entered sex work, had refused Rahul's attempts to record their encounters. After she informed Ankit about these incidents, Ankit confronted Rahul, leading to an altercation.
On January 11, 2024, Rahul arranged for another meeting with Bindu through Ankit for ₹4,000. The group traveled to the crime scene in an auto. Once there, Sukhendra stayed with Bindu while Rahul and Raj took Ankit a short distance away and killed him. During the struggle, both Rahul and Raj sustained injuries. They then returned to Bindu and killed her in the same manner.
The accused fled to Madhya Pradesh early on January 12, 2024. The mobile phones of both victims were recovered from the suspects. All three are being produced before a local court for transit remand.
