Actor Nagarjuna files criminal defamation case against Minister Konda Surekha
Hyderabad: Tollywood actor Akkineni Nagarjuna filed a criminal and defamation case against Telangana's Minister for Forest and Environment, Konda Surekha, in Nampally Court on October 3, 2024. The complaint is based on the minister's derogatory comments.
The complaint was registered under Section 222, read with Section 223 of the B.N.S.S., and the offenses were punishable under Section 356 of the B.N.S.
The legal complaint Nagarjuna filed highlighted his family's respected status in the Indian film industry, noting their nearly 40-year legacy and over 90 films across various languages.
