The court directed that Nagarjuna’s name and voice cannot be used in advertisements or promotional material without his consent. Protecting his personal rights, the court said any violation would invite legal consequences.

The order also specifically warned against the misuse of artificial intelligence, generative AI, machine learning, and deepfake technologies to replicate or exploit Nagarjuna’s identity. “Any such action will attract legal proceedings,” the court said.

The actor had approached the High Court seeking protection against unauthorised use of his personality rights.
