In his legal complaint, Nagarjuna highlighted his family’s respected status in the Indian film industry, emphasizing their nearly 40-year legacy and over 90 films across various languages.

Nagarjuna expressed shock at seeing clips of Surekha’s comments circulated widely on social media. He argued that these baseless claims aimed to tarnish his family’s reputation for political gain. The allegations prompted numerous inquiries from friends and colleagues, leading Nagarjuna to issue a public statement condemning Surekha's remarks.

The complaint details the emotional distress and reputational damage Nagarjuna and his family incurred due to these accusations, asserting that the statements constitute a criminal offense under the law. He has urged the Nampally Court to hold Konda Surekha accountable for her comments and to seek justice in light of the circumstances.
