Musheerabad Revenue Inspector caught taking Rs. 25,000 bribe in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), City Range Unit-2, on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, caught Bhoopala Mahesh, Revenue Inspector at the Office of the Tahsildar, Musheerabad Mandal, while accepting a bribe of ₹25,000.
According to the ACB, Mahesh had allegedly demanded ₹1,00,000 from a complainant for issuing a family members certificate. He was caught red-handed while accepting part of the bribe amount. The cash was recovered from his possession at the time of the trap.
The accused officer is being arrested and will be produced before the Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases at Nampally, Hyderabad. Further investigation is underway.
The ACB has urged the public to report any bribe demands by government officials by calling the toll-free number 1064. Complaints can also be sent via WhatsApp at 9440446106, or through the official social media handles on Facebook (Telangana ACB) and X/Twitter (@TelanganaACB). The identity of the complainant will be kept confidential.
