Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police raided a farmhouse in Moinabad and found 51 foreigners consuming liquor and playing loud music on Thursday night. A total of 90 IMFL bottles were seized.

According to the Moinabad police, there is credible information regarding an illegal birthday party being organized without permission, with loud noise, at Bakaram Revenue Village in SK Retreat. “Rajendranagar Zone Police, along with the Special Operations Team (SOT) Shamshabad, conducted a check at the said farmhouse and found 51 foreign nationals celebrating the birthday party.

The foreigners were from 11 countries. Of these, Uganda (37), Nigeria (2), Liberia (3), and others from Botswana, Kenya, Cameroon, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Malawi, and other nations participated. Among them, 14 males and 37 females participated in the party. On enquiry, it was found that the farmhouse owner had not obtained any permission from the local police for the gathering, music, or liquor.

Immigration authorities were informed, and their team arrived to verify the genuineness and validity of the participants’ stay in India. Further action will be taken based on their report.

Upon inspection, 90 liquor bottles without any excise license and loudspeakers were found. The following items were seized: IMFL liquor bottles, Budweiser beer tins (59), Bacardi beer (7), Breezer (4), Iconic White (3), Mansion House (1), Royal Challenge (1), Sula (5), McDowell's (1), and vodka bottles (9).

“It was also revealed that two women and one man had previously consumed ganja. Six women and nine men who were found with proper documents were let off. The others have been served Restriction Orders from the Bureau of Immigration and shifted to the Holding Centre. Further legal action will be taken if any irregularities are found,” said the Cyberabad police.

A case has been booked against the management of SK Retreat for violation of excise laws and police permission norms.
