According to officers, the participants included youths from Gachibowli, Madhapur, Narsingi, Kukatpally and KPHB areas of Hyderabad. The group comprised about 35 boys and 14 girls.

Preliminary medical tests showed that two of the attendees tested positive for drug use. Police also seized eight liquor bottles and DJ equipment from the premises.

Investigators said the organisers did not have any permission to hold the event. The main organiser, identified as Kishan, along with five others, has been booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and the Excise Act.

Police found that the event was promoted through an Instagram page named “Trap House”, where interested students were invited to join by paying ₹1,300 online.

Authorities are conducting further inquiry to trace the supply chain of the drugs and verify how minors managed to access the event.
