Mohan Babu shares update on his anticipatory bail plea
Mohan Babu-Manchu Manoj feud: Veteran actor Mohan Babu, who is facing attempt to murder charges, has dismissed the claims about his whereabouts. Soon after the arrest of Pushpa actor Allu Arjun and a claim of Telangana High Court rejected his petition, reports emerged in a section of media that the senior actor had reportedly gone into hiding.
The senior actor was charged with attempt to murder days after he was caught on camera hitting a vernacular news channel with his mic. Based on the complaint of the video journalist, the Pahadishareef police altered the case to 109 (attempt to murder).
He was earlier booked under 188 (1) (voluntarily causing hurt using dangerous weapons or substances)of the BNS Act and the FIR was updated after receiving legal advice into the matter.

Taking to X, the actor said “false propaganda is being circulated” about him. He also clarified about the status of his anticipatory bail petition and shared an update on his anticipatory bail petition in Telangana High Court. He said the court has not rejected his plea and it is still under consideration.
“False propaganda is being circulated.! Anticipatory bail has NOT been rejected and currently. I am under medical care in my home. I request the media to get the facts right,” the senior actor tweeted.
After his discharge from a city hospital, the actor had issued a press statement on Friday morning and expressed regret over the altercation with the video journalist at his Jalpally residence on December 10.
“It pains me deeply that what started as a personal family dispute spiralled into a larger situation,” he said in a statement and also clarified the delay in tendering an apology to the victim saying that he was under medical care for two days otherwise the apology would have come sooner.
