The Rachakonda Commissioner of Police issued the notices in relation to the Jalpally incident, where tensions reportedly escalated following a reported attack. Mohan Babu was ordered to appear at 10:30 a.m. on December 11, 2024, to address concerns under Section 126 of the BNSS regarding a potential breach of peace.

The notice follows a report by the Station House Officer (SHO) of Pahadishareef Police Station, accusing the actor of involvement under several sections of the law, including 329(4), 115(2), and 351(2) read with 3(5) BNS. As part of the investigation, police seized licensed firearms belonging to Mohan Babu and his son, actor Manchu Manoj, in concerns about public safety.

Assault Case Filed Against Mohan Babu

Mohan Babu faces allegations of assault following an incident on the evening of December 10, 2024. A reporter from a prominent news channel filed a complaint accusing the actor of attacking him during a coverage of a family dispute at Mohan Babu’s residence in Jalpally.

According to the complaint, the reporter arrived at Mohan Babu’s house around 7:50 p.m. to cover the ongoing dispute between the actor and his son, Manchu Manoj. About 15 minutes later, Manoj invited the reporter and other journalists into the house. During the visit, Mohan Babu allegedly confronted the journalists, grabbing the reporter's microphone and cell phone, using foul language, and assaulting the reporter with the microphone, which caused a head injury and significant bleeding.

The reporter has requested legal action against Mohan Babu, leading to the registration of an FIR under Cr. No. 645/2024, U/s 118 (1) BNS. The investigation is being handled by Sub-Inspector V. Laxmaiah.

Following the incident, Mohan Babu was hospitalized at Continental Hospitals in Gachibowli, Hyderabad.
