Hyderabad: The Head-to-Head Challenge, a key segment of the 72nd Miss World Festival, concluded at T-Hub, Telangana’s innovation and entrepreneurship hub. The two-day event brought together contestants from around the world to present their social impact projects, highlighting their commitment to the Miss World “Beauty With a Purpose” initiative.

Participants addressed a wide range of global and local issues, including child education, mental health, autism, plastic pollution, solar energy, support for young girls, gender-based violence, language preservation, child sexual abuse, and drug awareness. Topics also included community development, education for special communities, and the economic challenges facing marginalized groups.

The event was structured by region, with contestants from the Americas, Caribbean, and Africa presenting on May 20. Representatives from Europe, Asia, and Oceania followed on May 21. Each participant had the opportunity to speak on causes they personally advocate for, showcasing their leadership and commitment to social change.

The Head-to-Head Challenge is a core part of the Miss World competition, offering a global platform for young women to share real-world solutions and humanitarian efforts. Hosting the event in Telangana highlighted the state’s growing role in promoting cultural dialogue and innovation. T-Hub served as a fitting venue, providing a platform for diverse voices to be heard.

Julia Morley CBE, Chairman and CEO of the Miss World Organisation, said, “The Head-to-Head Challenge is more than a competition, it’s a platform for sharing courage, compassion, and purpose. I’m inspired by the stories these young women bring to the global stage. Hosting it in Telangana, a state known for its progressive outlook, adds deeper meaning to the event.”
