Starting May 6, a significant increase in international arrivals is expected. To accommodate the influx, special lounges, help desks, and welcome areas have been set up at the airport. Welcome arches displaying Telangana’s key tourist attractions and cultural motifs have also been installed. The state’s tourism slogan, “Telangana Jaroor Aana” (Must Visit Telangana), is prominently featured throughout the airport and reception areas.

Contestants arriving are being greeted with traditional Telangana-style hospitality. Miss Brazil, Jessica Scandiuzzi Pedroso, was among the first participants to arrive, landing in Hyderabad on the morning of May 4. She was welcomed by officials with a cultural reception at Shamshabad Airport.

Miss World Organization Chairperson Julia Evelyn Morley and Miss Canada, Emma Deanna Cathryn Morrison, have also arrived in the city. On May 5, Miss South Africa, Zoalize Jansen van Rensburg, became the third contestant to receive a traditional welcome from Telangana officials.

Later today, representatives from Portugal, Ghana, and Ireland are expected to arrive. Maria Amelia Antonio (Portugal), Jutta Ama Pokuhaa Addo (Ghana), and Jasmine Gerhard (Ireland) will be greeted with similar arrangements in line with the ongoing hospitality efforts.

Security and accommodation measures have been put in place to ensure a smooth stay for all participants. Most of the contestants are expected to arrive by May 7.

Miss World Chairperson Julia Morley is scheduled to review preparations at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, the main venue for the event, on May 10. She will meet with state government officials to oversee final arrangements for the opening ceremony.

Meanwhile, prominent athletes and Telangana natives PV Sindhu and Nikhat Zareen have extended warm messages, expressing pride in their home state hosting the global event.
