Addressing a press conference at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat alongside Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, the Minister said the event was a major success. He noted that ₹21 crore of the total expenditure came from sponsors, while the government contributed ₹9 crore. He added that the state expects revenue of ₹10–11 crore through related agreements.

Minister Jupally credited the event with boosting the visibility of Telangana’s tourism, handicrafts, handloom sector, and culinary traditions. He expressed gratitude to all those involved in organizing the event and noted that international contestants and media representatives appreciated the hospitality and arrangements.

Taking aim at the opposition, the Minister criticized their allegations and said they were engaging in “baseless criticism” instead of acknowledging the event’s success. He rejected the claim made by opposition leaders K.T. Rama Rao and Harish Rao that ₹200 crore was spent, challenging them to provide proof or issue a public apology.

“It is laughable,” he said. “During the previous BRS government, over ₹115 crore was spent on tourism promotion alone.” He also condemned what he described as false reports in some media outlets and social media platforms, including a claim that contestants’ feet were washed, calling it an outright fabrication. He alleged that the opposition was deliberately attempting to tarnish the image of the state government.

Responding to allegations by Miss England, Milla Magee, who claimed mistreatment during the event, the Minister dismissed the accusations as politically motivated. He pointed out that 108 other contestants stayed until the end and expressed satisfaction with the event.

“If anyone was truly mistreated, why would they want to return?” he asked, citing comments by Miss World winner Opal Suchata of Thailand, who praised the hospitality and said she would love to return to Telangana.

Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said the opposition was attempting to distract the public from the success of the event. “They cannot digest the fact that Telangana hosted an international event so smoothly,” he said. Also present at the press conference were Nagar Kurnool MLA Rajesh Reddy, Tourism Department Director Hanmanthu Jandage, and State Art Gallery Director K. Lakshmi.
