Miss World 2025: Beauty with a Purpose Gala held in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: The Beauty with a Purpose Dinner Gala, part of the Miss World 2025 events, was held in Hyderabad on Monday, May 26, 2025. Hosted by Sudha Reddy, a philanthropist, the event recognised social service projects by contestants from across the world.
Out of 108 projects, the top two from each continent were shortlisted. Four winners, one from each region, were announced. They will now be fast-tracked to the Top 10 of their continental group at Miss World 2025. Valeria Perez from Puerto Rico was named the winner for the Americas & Caribbean. Her project, “Communicating Without Limits”, promotes inclusion for the deaf, individuals with Down syndrome, and families affected by cancer.
Uganda’s Natasha Nyonyozi won for Africa with her project “The Nyonyozi Initiative”, which focuses on autism awareness and social inclusion. Millie-Mae Adams from Wales was selected from Europe for “First Aid Against Knife Crime”, a project that teaches young people life-saving first aid skills in response to knife violence.
From Asia & Oceania, Monica Kezia Sembiring of Indonesia was chosen for “Pipeline for Lifeline”, which brings clean water to remote communities. The runners-up were Yani Gomez (Paraguay), Lacha Eveh (Sierra Leone), Cori Gonz (Spain), and Huynh Tran Y Nhi (Vietnam).
Miss World Chair Julia Morley, CBE, said, “I’m so proud of every young woman here, not just for what they do, but for who they are.” The gala focused on the impact of community work and the role of young women in driving change through the Miss World platform.
