According to the Miyapur police, the accused Vigenesh confessed that five months ago, he met the girl at a temple in Falaknuma through Instagram. A month ago, Vigenesh expressed his love, and she accepted. He took her to his friend Saketh’s house in Uppuguda. They moved to a rented place in Sridatta Nagar, Kanchanbagh, where they lived together. Vigenesh noticed her talking to others on the phone and asked her to stop, which she agreed to.

She kept urging him to marry her, leading to quarrels. She threatened to die if he didn’t marry her. Vigenesh planned to kill her and informed his friend Saketh and Saketh’s wife Kalyani alias Nandini, but they disagreed. He decided to murder her after marrying her, thinking no one would suspect him. Following his plan, he told the girl he would marry her.

“On 8th November 2024, Vigenesh and Saketh went to Balapur, bought garlands and nuptial thread, and returned home. Vigenesh tied the nuptial thread on her neck, they exchanged garlands, and married. He told the girl to inform her mother about the marriage, which she did over the phone, telling her not to come. The deceased said they would visit Miyapur in a week,” explained police.

“On that evening, when Saketh went to work and Kalyani went for groceries, Vigenesh hit her head against the wall, strangled her with a saree, and she died. When Kalyani returned, Vigenesh told her, and she informed her husband, Saketh. Saketh asked Vigenesh to tell her mother, but he refused, fearing criminal cases as he was an earlier offender,”added police.

Fearing that if a case was registered, he will get life imprisonment, he asked for help disposing of the body, and they agreed. With the help of his friends Rasamallu Saketh and his wife Nandini, Vigenesh disposed the body, transporting it on his scooty to the ORR in Tukkuguda. They dumped her remains beside the Srisailam Highway, covering the body with waste papers and returned home, said police.

Telangana's law and order in crisis: Union Minister Kishan Reddy

In a scathing critique of the Telangana government, Union Minister for Coal and Mines and BJP state president Kishan Reddy has highlighted the deteriorating law and order situation in the state, pointing to the horrific murder of a minor girl in Miyapur.

Further Secunderabad MP Kishan Reddy said, “A girl from Anjaiyanagar Colony, missing since 8th November, was found dead in Tukkuguda. The victim’s parents alleged police negligence, claiming that despite filing a missing complaint a week earlier, authorities failed to take prompt action.”

The minor girl was reportedly murdered and her body dumped in a plastic industry. Kishan Reddy questioned the effectiveness of the state's police force, command control room, and CCTV surveillance, which failed to prevent such a heinous crime.

In a statement, Kishan Reddy criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s government for lacking a dedicated Home Minister. He accused the government of arresting those questioning the administration and leaders advocating for victims but not serious on cases regarding crime against women. He highlighted another shocking incident in Sangareddy district, where a mother and son were brutally hacked to death on the road.
