MeeSeva kiosks expand services at Khairatabad RTO, PAN integration underway
Hyderabad: Telangana’s Electronic Services Delivery (ESD) is expanding its MeeSeva initiative by integrating 11 additional Road Transport Authority (RTA) services into the self-service kiosk at the Khairatabad RTO Office.
The move aims to streamline access to vehicle and transport-related services. It follows the introduction of MeeSeva Digital Kiosks, launched on December 8, 2024, which have since served thousands of users.
Officials also announced that the state is finalizing an agreement with Protean eGov Technologies Limited to offer PAN card services at MeeSeva centers. Citizens will soon be able to apply for both physical and e-PAN cards, with faster processing times expected.
Meanwhile, the Licensed Surveyor Training 2025 program has shortlisted 7,003 candidates for its first spell and 3,028 for the second. Training will be conducted at district headquarters under the Telangana Academy for Land Information and Management (TALIM). Applications for the program closed on May 17, 2025.
The 50-day training is open to candidates aged 18 to 44 who meet one of the following criteria, completion of 12th grade with MPC (minimum 60%), ITI in Surveying, or a Diploma in Civil Engineering. Training fees are ₹2,500 for SC/ST candidates and ₹10,000 for others.
Launched during the Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu, MeeSeva Digital Kiosks are operational at five locations, including the Hyderabad Collectorate and Khairatabad RTO Office. The kiosks currently offer ten essential services, including issuance of GHMC birth and death certificates, payment of water and electricity bills, and reissuance of community and income certificates.
Each kiosk is equipped with QR code-based payment systems, high-resolution scanners, and backup power supply to ensure consistent service. They are accessible after hours and aim to reduce in-person visits to government offices. The initiative, led by IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu, supports the state’s focus on digital governance and improving access to public services across urban and rural areas.
