According to the woman, who works in the private sector, the incident occurred as she was walking home along the railway tracks. The man, who approached her from behind, made inappropriate advances and behaved in an unsettling manner.

The victim was able to slap the man and shout for help, attracting the attention of nearby bystanders.

The suspect fled the scene, and the police have filed a case. An investigation is underway, and the case will be transferred to the Government Railway Police (GRP) for further action. Authorities are currently verifying the details of the complaint.

This incident follows another alarming event in late March when a 23-year-old woman was injured after jumping from a moving MMTS train to escape an attempted sexual assault near Kompally.

The woman, a resident of Medchal, was traveling to Secunderabad when the assault took place. In an attempt to flee, she jumped from the train, sustaining multiple injuries. She was rescued by passersby and taken to Gandhi Hospital, where her condition was stabilized.

In response to recent safety concerns, South Central Railway (SCR) has ramped up security measures across the city’s train network. Following the Kompally incident, SCR General Manager Arun Kumar Jain ordered increased deployment of female Railway Protection Force (RPF) and GRP personnel, especially in ladies' coaches and on MMTS trains.

Enhanced patrolling, public awareness campaigns, and improved coordination between security agencies are part of the plan to safeguard passengers, particularly women.
