Election authorities remove 1,967 campaign posters and banners in Jubilee Hills MCC drive

HYDERABAD: Election authorities have intensified the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) in view of the forthcoming Jubilee Hills Assembly Constituency bye-election, removing thousands of unauthorised campaign materials across the city.

Nearly 2,000 items removed from public and private properties

As part of the enforcement drive, officials have so far taken down 1,967 political posters, wall writings, and banners. Of these, 1,315 were displayed on government properties, while 652 were found on private premises.

Authorities warn of strict action for violations

The election authorities reiterated that any breach of the MCC will invite stern action, underscoring their commitment to ensuring transparency and fairness throughout the electoral process. The initiative aims to maintain a level playing field among all contesting candidates.
