Residents urge traffic signals at Puppalguda Main Road Junction
Hyderabad: Residents of Manikonda and daily commuters have raised concerns over frequent traffic congestion at two key junctions on Puppalguda Main Road, Andhra Bank Junction and Prerna Hospital Junction. Citizens are requesting the installation of traffic signals at these locations to help regulate vehicle flow and reduce daily bottlenecks.
Several people took to social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) to voice their frustration and tag relevant authorities, urging quick intervention.
A user, @ravikum22987636, posted: “Dear @psnarsingi_cyb, why can't we have a traffic signal near Prerna Hospital Junction, Shaikpet Road? Even with traffic police present, the situation remains unmanageable. There’s a huge traffic jam almost every day. @ManaManikonda @ManikondaMc @CYBTRAFFIC @cyberabadpolice.”
The local community account @ManaManikonda also highlighted the issue, stating: “High traffic at Andhra Bank Jn & Prerna Hospital Jn on Puppalguda Main Road requires traffic signals. @DCPTrafficCYB @CYBTRAFFIC @ManikondaMc.”
In addition to traffic woes, residents are also asking authorities to install streetlights under the recently inaugurated Dr. Mann Mohan Singh Expressway flyover. Another user, @swachhhyd, wrote: “Respected officials, how many more days will your agency need to install the streetlights under the Dr. Mann Mohan Singh Expressway flyover?”
