Manchu Manoj calls Mirai his most exciting film, praises Teja Sajja
HYDERABAD: Actor Manchu Manoj, who plays the antagonist in upcoming film Mirai, said he agreed to the project mainly because of its young lead Teja Sajja. The fantasy-action drama, directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad, is set to release on September 12.
“Mirai is the film with the biggest craze in my career. I signed it three years ago, and the main reason was Teja Sajja. After watching his films, I told him once, ‘If you find a good script, bring it and we will work together.’ He later brought me this story and convinced me that only I could fit the role of Black Squad.”
The actor said that the glimpse of his character, released on his birthday, drew a huge response. “No film in my career has created such hype. There are many powerful scenes in Mirai, especially the train sequence, which we shot for nearly 15 days. We worked very hard on this film for three years, and I am confident it will be a blockbuster,” Manoj added.
He noted that he may not take up similar roles in future but accepted this film because he liked the character. The trailer of Mirai has already raised high expectations, with its storyline rooted in mythology.
