Man found dead near Uppal Metro Station under suspicious circumstances
Hyderabad: A man was found dead under suspicious circumstances near Uppal Metro Station on Saturday, February 8, 2025.
According to the reports, local residents alerted the police after spotting the body of the man, approximately 55 years old, lying near the station.
The police arrived at the scene, conducted preliminary inquiries, and sent the body to the mortuary for a post-mortem examination. Authorities suspect the man may have died two days ago and believe he was possibly living by seeking alms.
A case has been registered, and the investigation is ongoing.
In another incident, an 86-year-old man was fatally stabbed by his grandson, allegedly over a property dispute, in Punjagutta on Friday, February 7.
The accused, 29-year-old Keerthi Teja, reportedly argued over family property with his grandfather, Chandrashekhar.
The altercation escalated, and Teja allegedly stabbed his grandfather with a knife, causing severe injuries. Police apprehended the accused at the scene and filed a case. Investigations are continuing.
Earlier, on January 3, 2025, an unidentified woman's body was found floating in a lake in Dammaiguda, Jawaharnagar.
Residents alerted the police, who retrieved the body with the help of swimmers. Authorities are working to identify the woman and determine whether her death was due to suicide, foul play, or accidental drowning. The body has been sent for autopsy.
