Hyderabad: Heart attack suspected as 32-year-old man dies playing cricket at Keesara

Hyderabad: A 32-year-old man died after collapsing during a cricket match at Rampally Daira in Keesara on the city outskirts on Sunday. He reportedly died of a heart attack.

The police informed that the deceased Praneeth of Old Bowenpally, was playing cricket at Tyagi Sports ground with his friends. During the match, he complained of discomfort in the chest and suddenly collapsed.

Wasting no time, Praneeth’s friends shifted him to the nearby hospital where the doctors declared him dead on arrival. The doctors suspected he died of cardiac arrest, the police said.

Even though Praneeth's family has not raised any suspicion over his death, the Keesara police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the matter.

Earlier this month, a B.Tech student tragically collapsed and died of a heart attack while playing cricket in Medchal.

The deceased was identified as Vinay, a student at CMR College, who was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead upon arrival. The incident occurred on the college premises, leaving his friends and peers in shock.

This incident has raised concerns among the youth, with some speculating on social media that physical exertion during the summer months, even among those vaccinated against COVID-19, could pose health risks.

According to the reports, the man, identified as Suresh from Adilabad, suddenly fell unconscious while crossing the road. The officers, stationed at the junction to manage traffic, quickly responded by administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Their prompt actions revived Suresh before he was transferred to the Gandhi Hospital for further treatment.
