Hyderabad: Major fire breaks out in Kishan Bagh, no casualties reported
Hyderabad: A major fire broke out in a building near Kishan Bagh X Roads in the Old City of Hyderabad in the early hours of Sunday.
According to reports, the fire originated in the cellar of the building and its flames gradually spread to the upper floors. Upon noticing the flames, local residents immediately alerted the fire department. Firefighters rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control before it could cause extensive damage.
By the time the fire was extinguished, thick smoke had engulfed the entire building. No casualties were reported in the incident. Meanwhile, police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire.
Frequent fire accidents in the city have raised concerns among residents. In January, a fire broke out at a tiffin centre in the Nizampet area of Bachupally. The incident occurred while several workers were present at the eatery.
No injuries were reported and authorities suspect that an LPG leak may have triggered the blaze. Firefighters responded quickly and brought the fire under control.
Earlier, a fire broke out at the VVC Motors (Mahindra Motors) showroom in Kondapur, Ranga Reddy district. The fire caused extensive damage to several vehicles parked on the second floor of the showroom.
Within minutes, the blaze engulfed the entire showroom, with large flames visible from a distance. Firefighters arrived on the scene and brought the fire under control. Seven cars were completely destroyed, but no casualties were reported.
