In a striking political statement, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud has leveled serious allegations against the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), pointing to internal tensions within the family of party chief K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) and clandestine discussions with former political allies.

Speaking to the media on May 30, 2025, Goud described BRS as a "sinking ship," attributing its deteriorating condition to disputes over financial matters among KCR's close family members. He suggested that the party’s internal cohesion is breaking down amid growing disagreements over asset distribution.

Goud further claimed that, in the wake of legal notices concerning the Kaleshwaram irrigation project, former BRS minister Harish Rao recently met BJP leader Etela Rajender at a farmhouse in Shamirpet. According to him, Rajender also held a phone conversation with KCR, signaling the potential revival of past political ties during a time of mounting instability.

Highlighting recent remarks made by BRS MLC K. Kavitha and BJP MLA T. Raja Singh, Goud alleged signs of a covert alliance between the BRS and BJP. He went on to suggest that the BJP leadership’s decision to remove Bandi Sanjay from the state party president role may have stemmed from a behind-the-scenes agreement between KCR and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy.

Calling out what he perceives as selective outrage, Goud challenged BJP leaders to first address Raja Singh’s controversial comments before targeting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He emphasized the need for both BRS and BJP leaders to be transparent and answerable to the public on critical issues facing Telangana.

Goud’s statements have added fuel to the state’s already dynamic political environment, raising questions about shifting alliances and internal friction within prominent parties.
