Telangana extends LRS 2020 rebate deadline till this date
Hyderabad: The Telangana government has revised the deadline for availing a rebate on the regularization of unapproved and illegal layouts under the Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS), 2020.
Earlier, the last date to avail the offer was March 31. The government has now extended it till April 30, 2025.
“Following the issuance of this amendment order, all applicants who pay regularization charges and/or pro-rata open space charges on or before 31.03.2025 shall be entitled to a 25% rebate on the said charges. Applicants have the option to pay pro-rata open space charges at the time of obtaining building permission. However, this 25% rebate will not be applicable if the charges are not paid by 31.03.2025,” the previous order stated.
Out of nearly 20 lakh applicants, less than four lakh, who received intimation letter, cleared the pending fee payment and fulfilled necessary formalities. This has resulted in approximately Rs. 1,200 crore in collections through LRS fees against the set target of Rs. 20,000 crore.
The applicants can now use a ‘universal search’ feature to access their application details in the Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS), 2020 portal.
The applicants should input district name, mandal name, village name, and the applicant’s name to access required information.
Step-by-step guide for LRS fee payment (Layout Regularization Scheme):
- Search using the keyword “LRS 2020” online
- Click on the link - https://lrs.telangana.gov.in/
- On the homepage, click on "Citizen Login" tab
- Enter the mobile number you provided during the LRS application
- Click ‘Generate OTP’
- Input OTP received on your phone and validate it
- Click on ‘LRS Plots Fee Payment’
- Verify the details of your plot and click ‘Proceed’
- Scroll down to check the payment amount you need to pay
- Select all self-declaration conditions and click ‘Payment’
- Now click on the button to generate a QR code
Enter your mobile number - Click ‘Continue & Pay’
- Use Google Pay or PhonePe to scan the QR code and make the payment
- Once the payment is successful, download the receipt and keep it for future reference
