Telangana notifies liquor shop allotment for 2025–27
Application fee hiked, licence period fixed
Hyderabad: The Telangana government has issued a notification for allotment of liquor shops for the 2025–27 licence period. The application fee has been increased by 50 percent, raised to ₹3 lakh from ₹2 lakh in the 2023–25 allotment. The licence period will run from December 1, 2025, to November 30, 2027.
Reservation, tax slabs, allotment process
The reservation structure remains unchanged with 15 percent for Gouds, 10 percent for Scheduled Castes and 5 percent for Scheduled Tribes. Excise tax slabs have been fixed between ₹50 lakh and ₹1.1 crore annually, depending on population. District Collectors will allot shops through a draw of lots, in line with previous procedures.
