Lawyer murdered in broad daylight in Santosh Nagar, Hyderabad
Hyderabad: A lawyer was killed in a brutal daylight attack in the New Maruti Nagar colony, Santosh Nagar area, Hyderabad on March 24, 2025.
The victim, identified as Israel, was allegedly stabbed by Dastagiri, an electrician who had been working at Israel’s residence. According to reports, Israel had filed a complaint against Dastagiri on behalf of a woman who accused him of harassment.
The attack occurred shortly after the complaint was filed, and Israel was rushed to Apollo Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident, and more details are awaited.
Earlier, in a tragic incident, a man fatally attacked his partner on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, in Gopanpally Thanda, within the Gachibowli police station limits in Hyderabad. The deceased has been identified as a beautician from Bengal.
According to the reports, the accused, Rakesh from Bidar, Karnataka, had been in a relationship with the woman, who was working as a beautician in Nalgonda. Following a dispute, the woman broke off the relationship, but Rakesh continued to pursue and harass her, demanding marriage.
On the day of the incident, when the woman refused his demands, Rakesh attacked her with a vegetable knife. The attack resulted in the woman dying on the spot. During the attack, Rakesh also attacked three of the woman's friends who tried to intervene, leaving them seriously injured.
Upon learning about the incident, the police rushed to the crime spot. Later, the three women were promptly taken to the hospital for treatment. Following the attack, Rakesh fled the crime spot and later attempted to end his life by climbing an electric pole in Kanakamamidi village near Moinabad, Ranga Reddy District. He reportedly touched the wires and was electrocuted, falling down and sustaining injuries.
The Moinabad police alerted them to the situation and transported Rakesh to Osmania General Hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in the incident.
