Akkineni Nagarjuna’s Kuberaa becomes blockbuster on June 20 worldwide release

Hyderabad: Kuberaa, released on June 20, 2025, is rapidly becoming a blockbuster hit across the nation. The film features Akkineni Nagarjuna, a unique figure in Indian cinema known for his widespread appeal across generations and regions.

With a career spanning nearly four decades, Nagarjuna has consistently delivered hits in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi cinema. He is the only Indian actor to have worked with stars from multiple generations, starting from legends like his father Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR) and Krishna, to Bollywood icons such as Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, and Ajay Devgn.

Nagarjuna has also shared the screen with contemporaries like Rajinikanth, Harikrishna, and Mohan Babu, as well as younger actors including Naga Chaitanya, Nani, Ranbir Kapoor, Karthi, and Dhanush. This ability to connect with audiences and co-stars across generations sets him apart in Indian cinema.

Kuberaa is a 2025 action thriller directed by Sekhar Kammula, who co-wrote the screenplay with Chaithanya Pingali. Produced by Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations, the film was shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil. The cast includes Dhanush, Rashmika Mandanna, Nagarjuna, Jim Sarbh, and Dalip Tahil.

Principal photography took place from February to April 2024, primarily in Hyderabad and Mumbai. The film’s music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, with cinematography by Niketh Bommireddy, editing by Karthika Srinivas, and production design by Thota Tharani.
