KTR questions ED silence on Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy raids
HYDERABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K T Rama Rao on Saturday recalled that it has been exactly one year since the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided the residence of Congress minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. KTR posted on X that the aftermath of those raids stood as proof of what he described as an “unholy bond” between the BJP and the Congress.
ED raids remain a mystery one year later
He noted that media reports at the time mentioned officials carrying two currency-counting machines into the minister’s residence. “A full year has passed, yet the outcome of those raids remains a mystery,” he wrote.
KTR pointed out that neither the ED nor the minister had spoken publicly about the incident. “There was no follow-up action, no case registered, not even a press release,” he said.
Taking a dig at the Centre, he remarked: “Congratulations to Amit Shah, Nirmala Sitharaman and their ED team for successfully running the ‘washing machine’ that converts black money into white.”
He ended his post asking: “What greater evidence is needed of the unholy bond between the BJP and the Congress?”
