KTR sends legal notice to Minister Konda Surekha
Hyderabad: K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), the working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), sent a legal notice to Konda Surekha, the Minister for Forest and Environment and Member of the Telangana Legislative Assembly from Warangal East, on October 2, 2024. This action follows statements made by Surekha during a media briefing that generated controversy.
KTR's legal notice, dated October 2, 2024, accuses Surekha of conducting a "vitriolic campaign" aimed at damaging his reputation. The notice states, “As a consequence of these attacks, our client has been subjected to considerable embarrassment and a loss of reputation. Such defamatory content has resulted in endless defamation and damage to his character.”
KTR demanded that Konda Surekha immediately retract her statements, issue an unconditional public apology, and refrain from any further defamatory actions. The notice warned that failure to comply within 24 hours will lead to both civil and criminal legal actions against her.
Taking to social media platform 'X' (formerly Twitter), KTR expressed his outrage, saying, “Served legal notices to the Minister; disgusting & nauseating politics by Congress. I request @RahulGandhi to send your Minister and CM to a mental health specialist or a rehabilitation therapist.”
