KTR inspires Borabanda youth to launch waterproofing firm
HYDERABAD: Telangana Rashtra Samithi working president K T Rama Rao on Monday lauded a group of Borabanda youth who started a waterproofing solutions company inspired by his call for young people to create jobs rather than seek them.
Nine friends launched the firm, Doctor Guard, after listening to Rama Rao’s speech at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. They said they wanted to stand on their own feet despite being born and raised in Hyderabad. The company currently employs more than 30 people and aims to expand its workforce to 1,000 within a year. The founders told Rama Rao that they had integrated advanced technology into waterproofing methods to make their solutions more effective.
KTR visits company office
Rama Rao visited the company office at the request of the youth. “Instead of asking for jobs, they started a firm that will provide work to others. This spirit is commendable,” he said.
Imroz, one of the group’s members, had messaged Rama Rao on social media, urging him to visit and motivate them. The minister recalled this while addressing reporters.
Rama Rao also became the company’s first client by assigning Doctor Guard waterproofing work at Telangana Bhavan. Praising the group, all under 24, he said, “They are pursuing their idea with enthusiasm and no discouragement. I am happy to support them.”
‘Sincere efforts will succeed’
The youth said they drew inspiration from Asian Paints, which grew despite modest beginnings. Rama Rao said their commitment was praiseworthy. “Anything begun with sincerity and good intent will succeed and earn society’s support. I believe Doctor Guard will achieve great success,” he said.
He urged more young people to come forward after seeing this example. The Doctor Guard team thanked Rama Rao for his encouragement and expressed confidence that they would achieve more milestones with his inspiration.
