Solar power project covers homes and offices

The state government sanctioned a ₹10.53-crore solar power project, implemented through Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TGREDCO). Solar systems were installed in 514 houses and 11 government buildings, including the gram panchayat office. Each household has been provided with a 3 kW system, while the public buildings together have a capacity of 60 kW. The total installed capacity in the village now stands at 1,500 kW. TGREDCO officials said each house generates about 360 units of electricity per month, primarily for self-consumption. The distribution company exports surplus power to the grid under an agreement and pays beneficiaries ₹5.25 per unit.Village earns from selling power to grid

In September, Kondareddypalli contributed nearly one lakh units of electricity to the grid, earning villagers ₹5 lakh in a single month. Alongside the solar project, ministers inaugurated a milk chilling unit, development works for temples, and other infrastructure projects.
