Violations found at Kohinoor Dairy Products in Peerzadiguda

Peerzadiguda: In a recent operation, a task force from the Telangana Commissioner of Food Safety conducted inspections at Kohinoor Dairy Products in Peerzadiguda, Medchal District, revealing numerous violations of food safety regulations.

The inspection revealed that the facility did not prominently display its FSSAI license, which is a mandatory requirement for food manufacturing establishments. The manufacturing unit was also found operating from a shed without a proper layout plan, raising concerns about the safety and organisation of the production environment.

Officials discovered that the dairy lacked essential documentation regarding both milk procurement and sales of milk products. The entire premises were observed to be in an unhygienic condition, posing a significant risk to food safety.

Additionally, the facility did not have a quality control laboratory or any external quality control testing arrangements. There were no medical records available for food handlers, and the raw material storage area was disorganized, with wet walls that suggested poor maintenance.

Other violations included the absence of FOSTAC training for food handlers, slippery flooring without proper drainage slopes, and a lack of pest control certification and pollution control permissions. Statutory samples were collected during the inspection and sent to a laboratory for analysis.

Food safety officials highlighted the critical importance of compliance with health regulations to protect consumers and ensure public health standards are met. Based on the laboratory analysis results, further actions will be taken.
