HYDRAA Commissioner inspects encroached layout in Koheda
Hyderabad: A.V. Ranganath, Commissioner of the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA), conducted a field inspection on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at the Rajaji Nagar layout in Koheda village, Abdullapurmet Mandal, Ranga Reddy district.
The 17-acre layout, comprising approximately 190 plots, also includes roads and parks. Plot owners had earlier filed a complaint through Prajavani, alleging that an individual named Sammireddy Bal Reddy had encroached upon several plots using false documents.
HYDRAA officials responded by removing unauthorized constructions and clearing road obstructions. Plot owners expressed relief following the action.
However, tensions escalated when Sammireddy Bal Reddy reportedly returned and attempted to resume construction. When plot owners tried to intervene, he allegedly attacked them and forced them to leave. The incident led to a fresh complaint and prompted the Commissioner’s visit.
Commissioner Ranganath assured plot owners that all roads and parks within the layout would be restored and cleared of encroachments. He also stated that a full investigation would follow and that criminal action would be taken against those responsible.
Later in the day, the Commissioner visited Kotha Cheruvu in Koheda to inspect complaints that parts of private land had been submerged by the lake.
