Key areas in Hyderabad to experience water supply disruption on Jan 11
Hyderabad: Hyderabad residents in several areas will face a 24-hour disruption in drinking water supply on Saturday, January 11, 2025, due to maintenance work at the Mir Alam filter beds and cleaning of the forebay at the Himayathsagar Reservoir.
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) announced that the cleaning work at the Mir Alam filter beds will involve cleaning settling tanks and inlet channels. As a result, there will be a complete disruption of water supply in some areas and a partial interruption in others.
The maintenance work is scheduled to start at 6:00 a.m. on January 11, 2025, and will continue until 6:00 a.m. on January 12, 2025.
The following areas will be affected by the water supply disruption and they are Hassan Nagar, Kishan Bagh, Doodh Bowli, Misri Gunj, Pathergatti, Dar-ul-Shifa, Moghalpura, Jahanuma, Chandulal Baradari, Falaknuma and Jangammet.
Residents in these areas are urged to use water sparingly during the disruption. Normal water supply is expected to resume by Sunday, January 12, 2025.
