The Jubilee Hills House Building Cooperative Society has reclaimed a 2,000-square-yard property in Jubilee Hills following a decisive Supreme Court order. Acting on a complaint from the Society, the Hyderabad Disaster Management and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) conducted an enquiry, issued a show-cause notice, and passed a speaking order for removal of encroachments.

P. Satyanarayana, named as the encroacher, challenged the notice before the High Court, which disposed of his petition noting HYDRAA’s detailed process. Instead of appealing the final order, he approached the Supreme Court through a Special Leave Petition, alleging demolition. The Supreme Court, at the admission stage, dismissed the plea, effectively upholding HYDRAA’s action and confirming the Society’s ownership.

Society Thanks Officials for Support

Senior advocate Dama Seshadri Naidu and advocate E Venkata Siddhartha represented the Society before the Supreme Court. Following the judgment, Society President Bollineni Ravindranath and the governing body extended appreciation to the Government of Telangana, HYDRAA Commissioner Ranganath, and GHMC officials for their support in reclaiming the land.
