Jubilee Hills Congress leader Naveen Yadav booked for poll code violation

HYDERABAD: Jubilee Hills Congress leader Naveen Yadav has been booked for violating election rules by allegedly distributing voter cards and attempting to influence voters.

Election officer files complaint over voter card distribution

According to officials, the Election Commission treated the act as an inducement and directed legal action. Rajinikanth Reddy, the Jubilee Hills election officer, lodged a complaint with the Madhura Nagar police station.

Police registered a case against Yadav under Sections 170, 171 and 174 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and relevant provisions of the Representation of the People Act.
