ECI to issue Jubilee Hills bypoll notification on October 13

HYDERABAD: The Election Commission of India (ECI) will issue the notification for the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election on October 13. The process of filing nominations will begin the same day.

Nominations will be accepted till October 21, while scrutiny will be held on October 22. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is October 24. Pollsters will conduct polling on November 11, and officials will hold counting on November 14.

Returning officer office ready for nomination process

The returning officer’s office, set up in the Shaikpet tahsildar office, has completed preparations with the issuance of the notification on October 13.

District election officer R.V. Karnan inspected the returning officer’s office on Saturday and reviewed the arrangements with returning officer P. Sai Ram and assistant returning officers. Karnan instructed them to ensure that they conduct the nomination process smoothly in accordance with Election Commission of India guidelines.

Sanjeev Kumar Lal appointed expenditure observer

The Election Commission has appointed IRS officer Sanjeev Kumar Lal (2014 batch) as the expenditure observer for the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election.

He will oversee election expenditure and review related activities to ensure strict compliance with ECI norms. The observer will also monitor measures aimed at preventing the use of money power and maintaining transparency during the bypoll.
