Hyderabad: Residents of Hyderabad's Jahanuma area have raised concerns about the poor quality of tap water, which they have been experiencing for the past four days. The issue was highlighted on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), with residents urging the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) and Telangana's Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to take immediate action.

The concern was posted by the handle @PeopleHyderabad, stating, "See the condition of tap water @HMWSSBOnline in the #Jahanuma area for the past 4 days. We are suffering. @revanth_anumula @hmwssbgmom1 @hmwssbdgmcbdari #Hyderabad #Telangana @asadowaisi @GHMCOnline."

In response, HMWSSB acknowledged the issue, stating, "Thank you for sharing the details. The complaint has been registered with token no. 2268. We will forward it to the concerned officials. The M.R.G. FILTERS Section Manager will address the issue as soon as possible. Thank you."

Further concerns were raised by citizens from other areas. Syed Zeeshan Nehri mentioned that areas such as Nampally Assembly, Bazar Ghat, Vijaynagar, Asifnagar, and especially New Mallapally, have been facing irregular water supply for the past two months, particularly with Ramzan approaching.

Dr. Abdul Sattar Khan also expressed concerns, asking, "Why is the water in certain areas poisonous? Is this deliberate targeting? Will clean drinking water be made available? Can you post a clean water photo after resolution?"
