Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel said, “We are acting against a radical Iranian regime. They want to build atomic bombs to destroy us. They also aim to create ballistic missiles, including intercontinental ones, to threaten anyone, anywhere in the world."

India stated, “We are very concerned about the recent events between Iran and Israel. We are closely watching the situation, including reports of attacks on nuclear sites.” Further India urged both sides to avoid any escalatory steps. Existing channels of dialogue and diplomacy should be utilised to work towards a de-escalation of the situation and resolving underlying issues. India enjoys close and friendly relations with both the countries and stands ready to extend all possible support, added India in its statement.

Our missions in both countries are in contact with the Indian community. The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, advised all Indian nationals in the region to exercise caution, stay safe, and follow local security advisories.
