IRCTC announces Bharat Gaurav Tourist trip for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh pilgrims
Hyderabad: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced a special Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train for a spiritual tour covering Haridwar, Rishikesh, Vaishno Devi, Amritsar, and Anandpur Sahib.
The tour, titled “Haridwar-Rishikesh-Vaishnodevi-Amritsar-Anandpur Yatra” (Guru Kripa Yatra – SCZBG40), will begin on April 23, 2025, from Vijayawada and conclude on May 2, 2025, spanning a total of 9 nights and 10 days.
During the tour, pilgrims will visit prominent spiritual sites such as the Mansa Devi Temple and attend the evening Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar. In Rishikesh, the itinerary includes visits to Ram Jhula and Lakshman Jhula. The journey continues to Anandpur Sahib, covering the Anand Sahib Gurudwara and Naina Devi Temple. In Amritsar, tourists will visit the Golden Temple (Sri Harmandir Sahib and Sri Akal Takht Sahib), with a possible visit to the Wagah Border depending on time. The trip also includes a visit to the Mata Vaishno Devi Temple.
Boarding and de-boarding facilities will be available at several stations across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, including Vijayawada, Guntur, Nalgonda, Secunderabad, Kazipet, Peddapalli, Manchiryal, and Sirpur Kaghaznagar. Additional stops include Balharshah, Wardha, and Nagpur in Maharashtra.
The package includes travel by train and road, accommodation in budget hotels, and catering services providing morning tea, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, both on-board and off-board. The train will be equipped with CCTV surveillance, public announcement systems in all coaches, onboard security, and IRCTC tour managers to assist passengers throughout the journey. Travel insurance is also included.
The fare for the tour varies by class and category. For adults, the cost is ₹18,510 in Sleeper Class (Economy), ₹30,730 in 3AC (Standard), and ₹40,685 in 2AC (Comfort). For children aged 5 to 11 years, the respective fares are ₹17,390, ₹29,420, and ₹39,110. Accommodation will be provided in non-AC rooms for the economy package, and AC rooms for standard and comfort categories. Road transport will be in non-AC vehicles for economy and standard, and AC vehicles for the comfort category.
