Speaking about his literary debut, in a video message, Reddy former Hyderabad police commissioner, explained that the compilation represents a synthesis of experiences gathered during his 30-year IPS journey, combined with memories from his student life and various life occasions. The officer-turned-poet has structured the work to encompass the complete emotional spectrum recognized in classical literature.

Beyond traditional poetry, 'Punjuthoka' incorporates visual elements, with some poems accompanied by sketches that complement their meanings. “In an effort to maintain the reader’s interest, the book includes short snippets, brief interludes designed to maintain reader engagement and prevent monotony during extended reading sessions,” added Reddy. These are intended to provide breaks in the reading experience and offer insightful, thought-provoking content. It also features hand-drawn sketches that complement the meanings of the poems, enhancing the reader’s engagement.

Reddy expressed his hope that the public would support and bless his endeavour, which stands as a tribute to his life’s journey, ended his video message.
