Following the incident, parents and the student union leaders staged a protest outside the college, accusing the management of delaying in notifying them. The body has been sent to Gandhi Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Miyapur police have registered a case and launched an investigation.

Meanwhile, Telangana Vidyarthi Shakti Sangam state president Pawan alleged that the students are being subjected to mental harassment and excessive academic pressure at the college to perform better in their studies which he claimed is driving some to take extreme steps. He also demanded strict action against the college management for the student's death.
