India-Pakistan tensions: Rachakonda police warn Telangana citizens against sharing military movements

Hyderabad: Amid heightened tensions along the India-Pakistan border and the ongoing Operation Sindoor, the Rachakonda Police have issued an advisory urging citizens to refrain from sharing any visuals of military movement.

In a statement posted on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), the police said, “Dear Citizens, if you observe the movement of Indian Army, Air Force, or Naval troops or vehicles in your area, please do not record videos, take photos, or share them on social media. Such posts, though unintentional, can aid our adversaries. Let’s stay vigilant and support our armed forces by acting responsibly.” The post carried the hashtags #ThinkBeforeYouPost, #NationalSecurity, #SupportOurForces, and #StayAlertStaySafe.

The advisory comes as security operations intensify along the border, and officials seek to prevent any leak of sensitive information that could compromise national security.

 Telangana Sets Up Relief Coordination for Citizens Affected by Border Tensions

In response to the situation, the Telangana Government has launched coordinated relief efforts to assist state residents stranded or returning from affected areas. Under the direction of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Telangana Bhawan in New Delhi has been designated as the central coordination point for these operations.

A 24x7 control room is now functional at Telangana Bhawan, handling distress calls and providing assistance. As of now, around 30 calls have been received. The state government is offering free food and lodging to residents arriving from border areas, and additional accommodation is being arranged when needed.

A medical camp has been set up to provide basic health check-ups and care. Transport assistance is also being provided to help people reach airports and railway stations safely.

Eight individuals from Jammu & Kashmir have already arrived at Telangana Bhawan and are being taken care of. Arrangements are being made for their return to their hometowns in Telangana.

The Telangana Government is in constant touch with district administrations and local authorities in affected areas and is working to relocate residents when required. Coordination is also ongoing with the central government for real-time updates and safety instructions.

The Resident Commissioner conducted a late-night review of the relief measures to ensure readiness and adequate support for incoming citizens. The state government said it will continue to monitor the situation and extend necessary help.
