India Game Developer Conference to kick-off at HICC tomorrow
Hyderabad: Game Developer Association of India (GDAI) is set to kick off its India Game Developer Conference (IGDC) on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. The three-day video gaming conference will be held at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) in the city from November 13 to 15. Gaming art, policy, technique, design, and development will form the five themes of the event.
The event will be attended by around 20,000 attendees, including representatives from the governments of Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Sikkim, and Rajasthan. The 16th edition of IGDC will feature over 250 speakers and host a large expo with top gaming companies, startups, and international country showcases.
With India rapidly becoming a gaming powerhouse, this year’s IGDC is being viewed as one of the top three global video gaming conferences.
During the event, the speakers will discuss the emerging trends, challenges, and innovations shaping the gaming industry worldwide. They will also explore the need for creating dedicated video gaming hubs and expanding the incubator ecosystem in the country.
Participants will be able to attend workshops, panel discussions, and networking sessions. IGDC Awards Night will be held on November 14, during which the ‘International Game Award’ will be presented across ten categories and two special jury awards.
